Call, text, or order online. Tell us what you want — whole or half beef or pork. We confirm same day.

Cut sheet

We send you a simple cut sheet. You tell us how you want everything cut, seasoned, and packaged. Stuck? We'll walk you through it.

Processing

Your animal goes to Canaan Mountain Meats. Every cut vacuum-sealed, frozen, and labeled. About 3 to 4 weeks.

Half & whole animals.

Beef and pork are available to the public in halves and wholes. You reserve, we work the cut sheet with you, the processor cuts to your spec, and you pick it up Saturday morning at Sunset Farms Dairy.

  • Half beef. Est. ~220 lb of cuts. The most common share.
  • Whole beef. Est. ~440 lb. For big families and full freezers.
  • Half hog. Est. ~78 lb of bacon, chops, sausage, ham.
  • Whole hog. Est. ~155 lb. For canners, big families, freezer hawks.

Lead time runs 3 to 4 weeks. Call or reserve online to get on the list.

Common questions

Things people usually want to know.

Do you ship or deliver?
No. We're a local farm, not a shipping company. All orders are pickup only at Sunset Farms Dairy in Centennial Park, AZ. Saturday mornings at 10 AM. Need a different time? Give us a call and we'll work it out.
How is the meat packaged?
All meat is vacuum-sealed, frozen, and labeled with the cut, weight, and packing date. Whole birds and roasts are frozen individually. Ground meats come in 1-lb packages by default; let us know if you want something different.
How long can I keep frozen meat?
Properly stored in a deep freezer at 0°F or below: ground meat 4 to 6 months, steaks and roasts 8 to 12 months, whole birds about 12 months, sausage about 3 months. We'd rather you eat it sooner than later.
What's your return policy?
If you ever open a package and it's not right, call us within 48 hours. We'll replace it or refund it. We stand behind everything that leaves the farm.
Can I subscribe?
No formal subscription program. We've found that people's freezers and weekly menus vary too much to make subscriptions a clean fit. We do keep a list of "regulars" we text when something they love comes back in stock.
Do you sell at farmers markets?
Occasionally, usually St. George and Hurricane in the warm months. Follow our Instagram @sunsetfarms.store for the latest stand schedule.
Can my kids visit the animals?
Please. Call ahead so we can make sure someone is around to walk you through. Tours are free, the kids can usually feed a chicken, and there's a barn cat or three to chase.
Do you take SNAP / EBT?
We do accept SNAP at the store on eligible items. Online checkout doesn't currently support EBT. We're working on it.
