Blue Cheese Steak Salad with Balsamic Dressing

For the Steak Salad
8 ounces cooked steak sliced, see note
10 ounces tomatoes sliced
4 cups salad greens
1 purple onion sliced
⅓ cup gorgonzola cheese or blue cheese, see note
For the Balsamic Dressing
½ cup olive oil
¼ cup balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon garlic minced, about 1 clove
2 teaspoons honey
1 teaspoon dijon mustard
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper

Ingredients
- (8 Ounces) T-Bone Steak
- (10 oz) Tomatoes
- (4 Cups) Salad Greens
- (1) Purple Onion
- (1/3 Cup) Gorgonzola Cheese of Blue Cheese
- Balsamic Dressing
- (1/2 Cup) Olive Oil
- (1 tea) Garlic
- (2 tea) Honey
- (1 tea) Dijon Mustard
- (1/2 tea) Salt
- (1/4 tea) Pepper
Directions
For the Balsamic Dressing
- Combine all ingredients in a mason jar. Shake well to combine.
For the Steak Salad
- Layer the sliced steak, tomatoes, and onions over the salad greens.
- Crumble the cheese over the top.
- Top with half of the salad dressing, serve the rest on the side.
Notes
8 ounces of steak is about 2 small steaks or 1 large steak. I use a variety of cuts for this recipe. New York strips are our favorite. Blue cheese can be substituted for gorgonzola. The amount of cheese is flexible.
